The Cabin 2014

This year was different, yet the same.
The kids picked up right where they left off nine months ago.

The Comforter (John 14:26-27) was ever present.

This was our sixth year at Harmony Mountain.
The kids are growing up here.

 The love of Jesus is evident here.
 Olivia was proud to carve her first pumpkin all by herself.

I am so thankful for this time we get to spend together here every year.

Autumn

Today has been a week since we left out for our annual King Family Reunion in Jasper. I haven't been able to go through all the photos just yet. Here are a couple of the photos of our wonderful weekend and some from around here.

Our First Family Camp Out

The weekend of Liv's birthday was a busy one. We attended a Boo Bash that some friends hosted. It was amazing. We also attended little hayride at Woolly Hollow park. While we were at the park, we noticed a lot of campers with their tents and Liv wanted to  have a camp out. So we talked about camping out at home that night for our first family camp out. So we did. Everyone stayed out all night except for Liv and I due to her excessive coughing.
We loved it so much. I definitely see camping elsewhere in the near future.

Happy Birthday, Olivia!

     Olivia,
Today is your seventh birthday. Today we talked about the day you were born. You love talking about when you were a baby. These past seven years have been wonderful! You are so sweet and loving. You are shy and funny.
You bring us unspeakable joy!

Last weekend we celebrated your birthday with family and friends. You wanted an art party and a sleep over. So that is what you had. We had so much fun watching you with your little friends. You are such a good friend.

Here are some memories of your celebration.
We love you sweet girl!

Thoughts of Home {October Home}

I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

Thoughts of Home {De-Cluttering our Home}

There will always be some clutter.
Not all clutter is bad.

 Our kids have there stuff...
Like the little things they craft at home. school and church.

 I have my stuff. Stuff I can't seem to find a place for but really love.

Our fridge is loaded with the good stuff...the countdown to the cabin (we are so enjoying this)
...schedules, homework, reminders. This is the stuff we need for our daily life.
Adam has his stashes of clutter. Which is really his work, his sketches of home plans, stuff that needs filing. And I am thankful for these are signs of a prospering business.

We can't get around everything and not live.
This our life. We live here. We enjoy the life we have here.
With that said, what I have found is that our day to day goes smoother with clean uncluttered spaces, clean surfaces and not having piles of junk falling out of closets. I want a calm home, no unnecessary clutter and more time. I think we are achieving that.
