ABCDEFG...

Olivia is a little sponge these days. She is soaking in and learning a lot. For the past few weeks her favorite book has been Dr. Seuss' ABC. We read it several times a day and every night at least twice before going to bed. She goes around the house saying ABCDEFG and then skips through LMNOP and then a random O and T. She can even identify a few letters when she sees them. She can count almost to ten but gets confused sometimes after six. She thinks all colors are pink, green, black or purple. She is learning and I think she is doing really well.

She is also really starting to use her imagination. She always wants to be a puppy or have Mama and Daddy be a puppy. Today, it is rainy and cold so we built a tent in the house. She got the flashlights and we got under the tent to hunt for kittens. Of course we were wispering meows as we looked for them because she said they were asleep. :-)
She says all the time "Oh, Livi pretty or I pretty". She loves to dress up and will bring me her tutus and calls them her pretties. After she gets dressed she ask for Daddy and then goes and stands right in front of him waiting for his plethra of compliments.
Lately, when I ask if she needs something or if she says no to something she will respond, "No, I am okay". Where does she get this stuff?
She has also learned when she picks something up to say, this is heavy. She also tells me when something is upside down. She knows the difference and says push or pull.
I am just amazed at what she is learning.
I am just amazed and thankful everyday that God chose me to be her Mama.
I love you Olivia!

Thanksgiving

"Let us come before His prescence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms."
Psalm 95:2

Today, as I entered into God's prescence through prayer I thanked Him for many things.

I thanked Him for the virgin birth savior who was crucified and risen for our sins.

I thanked Him for a loving supportive husband.

A beautiful, happy, healthy, loving, active daughter.

I thanked Him for a godly mother and loving step father. A daddy who still considers me his pride and joy. A little sister who has brought immeasureable joy to my life.

Inlaws who raised a boy into a godly loving man. Aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents who are always there and love God and our family. I am thankful for all of the love that Olivia has in her life.

I thanked Him for a wonderful church family, an awesome Sunday School class and a wonderful Bible Study friend.
I thanked Him for life long friends and new friends who are my sisters in Christ whom I can always call for prayer warriors.

I am thankful for a job that allows me to stay home with my daughter and for my husband's job that provides for our family. I am thankful for the woman God is molding me to be.

I am thankful for God's never ending faithfulness.
I am thankful for this blog may it be used to honor our Lord through our life.

"Enter into His Gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise, Be thankful to Him and bless His name."
Psalm 100:4

Olivia Moments

Olivia is starting to say and do some really funny and sweet things. I will start to document them under Olivia Moments. Her sweetness, sincerety and
innocence really touches my heart.

She got some play-doh for her birthday and she loves it. The other day I was making a little man, figure something for her and she said, "Oh, Mama that is so cute". She said it in a really sincere voice.
The other day Adam was changing her diaper. (Note: She is refusing to use the potty.)
Adam said, "Man, Olivia you stink". She then replied, "Daddy YOU stink".

The other day a while after dinner, Adam was seated at the table looking at something on the computer and I just made us all dessert and we were just seated there. Olivia took each hand and reached for ours and said "we pray" and then she bowed her head. So Daddy blessed our dessert. I cried! That was a proud moment for me and it makes me feel like we are on the right path.

Today, Olivia and I were watching the David Crowder Band on Youtube and she said, "Oh, Mama that is Jesus!". I laughed and said, "no but he is singing about Jesus and His love for us".

Oh, I just love my little girl! She is so precious!

Fall Reunion

We spent Halloween weekend with my family at a cabin close to Jasper, AR. The weather was beautiful!
Adam and I love hiking. He has been wanting to take me to Lost Valley for the past few years and we were able to go while near Jasper.
Our cabin had eight bedrooms. Here is my uncle Kenny, cousin Ashley, Uncle Marty and cousin Michael on the third floor balcony.

Olivia in her sweet Halloween overalls.

My step dad David taking in all the beautiful scenery.

Aunt Jen decorated the cabin in some lovely fall decor!

Meme's birthday was the Friday that we go there. Of course Livi wanted to help her blow out her candles.

My Papaw King loves the outdoors. I can always remember him going climbing and going through caves when I was little. So naturally, he was ready for the caves and waterfalls. He rode in the crazy ride with all of us "kids".

We stopped for some scenic views on the way to Lost Valley.

Here is the house that I told Adam I wanted him to buy when we are ready to retire. It has to be at least 100 years old. He said, " you have come a long way city girl". What can I say the older I get the simpler life seems peaceful.
The hike to Lost Valley.

Magnificent!

The kids loved the hike.

We hiked (crawled) to the the back of the cave and saw a beautiful waterfall!

As we left Lost Valley we saw this herd of Elk. To say Adam was excited would be an understatement!

We made great memories on our weekend reunion. We sat by the campfire. Papaw played his guitar Emily danced, Olivia sat on Papaw's lap as he sang. The kids and big kids played hide and seek in the dark until midnight. We had lots of food. We are looking forward to next year!
