Blogging

There are some weeks that go by that I do not get to sit down and blog about our life here. During those weeks we are busy with life. I am trying to get back into the habit of leaving the camera on the kitchen counter so I can capture those little moments and share them here.
There are times I don't have much to say and I just want to let the photos speak.
There are times I feel led to share random thoughts or things we are doing here at home.
I just want to share the perfect love of Christ through our imperfect family.

Life Lately...

...A lot of laundry, wiping noses, homework, soccer, church activities, school activities, doctor's visits, potty-training, work,
cooking, cleaning, laughing, fighting over toys, fighting over who is going to talk to Mama first, calling the Hogs, practicing good manners, giving kisses, praying, breathing...

Natalie's Mission Trip

I can't begin to express how proud I am of my little sister.
She is about to turn sixteen in just a few weeks!
She just came back from a week long VBS mission trip in Nebraska. She sent me photos during her time there and reported 30+ kids and parents came to accept Jesus as their savior!
I just love her love for the Lord.

His Witness

I can hardly think of the words to type.
Papaw King went home to be with the Lord two weeks ago today.
The Master was ready for His faithful servant to come home to Him.
In Honor of Papaw's life, these words I will share are a part of his legacy.
Papaw witnessed to people all across the country by reciting these words.

I Met the Master Face to Face
by Lorrie Cline

I had walked life's way with an easy tread,
Had followed where comforts and pleasures led,
Until one day in a quiet place,
I met the Master face to face.

With station and rank and wealth for my goal,
Much thought for my body but none for my soul,
I had entered to won in life's made race,
When I met the Master face to face.

I had built my castles and built them high,
With their domes and pierced the blue of the sky,
I had sworn to rule with an iron mace,
When I met the Master face to face.

I met Him and knew Him and blushed to see,
That His eyes full of sorrow were fixed on me;
And I faltered and fell at His feet that day,
While my castles melted and vanished away.

Melted and vanished, and in their place,
Naught else did I see but the Master's face.
And I cried aloud, "Oh, make me meek,
To follow the steps of Thy wounded feet."

My thought is now for the souls of men,
I have lost my life to find it again,
E'er since one day in a quiet place,
I met the Master face to face.

We Believe

In God the Father.

We Believe in Jesus Christ.

We Believe in the Holy Spirit.

And He is Giving Us New Life.

We Believe in the Crucifixion.

We Believe in the Resurrection.

We Believe He has Conquered Death!
And He is Coming Back Again!

This song has ministered so much to my heavy heart this week.
Praise God the veil was torn!

Big Pop

This past week we said goodbye for now to a good man known as Big Pop.
He was a great man and loved by many.
He is now in the arms of Jesus.
We love you Big Pop!
Thank you for all the beautiful memories.

Lately

Lately, Amelia and I have been hanging around home after we drop Liv and Wes off at school. She has been under the weather the past couple of weeks.
We have started a little spring cleaning. Some of our neighbors and I are planning a little community yard sale on our road.

For sometime I have been looking all around for a good Bible Study. I have found a wonderful site...
It is a community of sisters in Christ from around the world studying  the Holy Word together.
I feel like I am getting back on my track with daily "meals" of his Word.

Winter to Spring

This winter weather has been something hasn't it?
The snow this weekend was beautiful, however I am glad we missed the twelve inches today. It is cold, however the sun is shining.
As I hear people talk about Spring with such anticipation, it reminds me of why Winter is so important. We are looking forward from the Winter dormancy of the earth to the resurrection of the earth in the Spring.
The seasons are a gentle reminder of a Savior who lovingly died for each one of us and was resurrected from the earth so that we can have eternal life!
We are all longing for Him.
So enjoy the Winter...Spring is on its way!

God Proves

Good things are happening.
God proves Himself over and over again.

Have a beautiful Monday!

Our Fourth of July 2013-Part 1

We celebrated the fourth at uncle Marty's farm. It was an unseasonably cool afternoon and evening of farm fun.  Uncle Marty is the grill king. We had a spread of
 food and wonderful summery desserts.
We enjoyed our fellowship together. We thanked the Lord for blessing us with this great place we call home of the free!

I am so very thankful that the day before we went out to the farm that Mamaw and Papaw came up to spend some time with us. Papaw and I enjoyed picking blackberries together.

A Beautiful Celebration

This past Saturday Wes, Liv and I went to a beautiful celebration. It was a celebration of a legal union of a family. See when this little girl was just a few weeks old, in the middle of the night she found her mother. A child God made just for this beautiful soul. My friend opened her heart and her home to a child she never met and instantly became a mother. Their bond as mother and child was instant.
Saturday close friends and cheerleaders of this family came together to celebrate the legal union of this family. But to all who know them know this was a match already made in Heaven.
It was a beautiful celebration!
